Trip to California

My trip to California was jammed packed full of fun but pretty short. From Friday afternoon until early Monday morning, when I packed up to head back home, I was busy soaking up the love of friends and the California sun....and the hot oil from my hair treatment at the spa.

Friday:

Arrive 12:15 in to Oakland Airport and rent a car (Jeep Liberty). I drove straight to Pleasanton for my 3:15 spa treatment.

  • Moore Mud body treatment
  • 1 hour full body massage
  • 15 minute head/scalp hot oil treatment

**took 4 hair washings to get the oil out of my hair. You could have fried eggs on my head but my hair looked awfully shiny and healthy!

Once I got to Heather's we went out to dinner. We had yummy Chinese in downtown Livermore, which looks a lot like Old Town Alexandria, but younger.

Stacey & John arrived at the house at 11pm and Stacey and I stayed up until 3am talking about life and the happenings of the last year (I haven't seen her since my wedding)

Saturday:

Saturday was the worlds biggest baby shower ever! Heather and her Mother and Mother-in-law threw the best shower! There were 75 people, a keg, a taco stand and better weather than we expected. It was great!

Saturday night I slept SO HARD!

Sunday:

Sunday Stacey, Heather, Heather's Mom and I went wine tasting. (Heather was the D.D.) Heather lives so close to so many wineries that I swear it's more convenient to go wine tasting then it is to get a cup of coffee at Starbucks. I hate to think of my lifestyle if I lived there!

Stacy and John took off back home to L.A. later that afternoon.

Monday:

Flight home to DC!

(Southwest has a direct flight to Oakland now, which is what I used, but they don't show movies. My warning to you all is if you take that flight BE PREPARED to entertain yourself for 5 hours!)
