VA Wine Tour 07'

On Sunday me and a few friends went on a wine tour. We hired my cousin Megan to be our DD and take us around to 4 different Virginia wineries. She did a fabulous job and we'll definitely be hiring her again soon!

First Winery was Swedenburg in Middleburg, VA. It was small but very lovely.

Second Winery was Marterella in The Plains, VA. This winery was my personal favorite of the trip. They had a Stone Fire Pizza available and the wine was really yummy. Their patio area was also very lovely and relaxing!

The Third Winery was Three Fox. It was a very beautiful set up but a newer winery. They have been around for 6 years but only have been doing tastings for 3 years. Most of the wines we tasted were from grapes NOT grown on the property. If this is true of most wineries then slap me now but I remember being mildly turned off that I was tasting wines that were made from grapes not grown on property.....

The final winery we went to was the Piedmont Winery. I have had Piedmont wines before and I especially love their Chardonnay. Unfortunately though they were out when we got there but assured me they were going to making another batch soon. I will definitely return to most, if not all, of the wineries.

Pictures up next..........
