Just in line with our 5 year plan, and our life goals, Eric and I have begun the process of selling our condos so that we can buy a house. Our hope is to be ready to purchase our first house in the spring of 2008.
Last weekend we met with our Real Estate Agent Phil. He is very kind and makes me feel calm, which I appreciate. Selling your first condo, like buying your first condo, is stressful. We have had to adopt a Condo Preparedness Calendar for the Month of November. Our plan is to have my condo on the market by Dec. 1st.
November Condo Preparedness Calendar
Nov. 2nd - Receive feedback from condo management about water damage in bedroom
Nov. 11th - Last day for current tenant
Nov. 12 - 16th - Painter comes at some point in this week
Nov. 17 & 18 - Eric begins/completes repairs
Nov. 25th - Declutter condo
Nov. 26th - Deep clean condo
Nov. 27th - Carpets cleaned
Nov. 28th - Nov. 30th - Photographer
Dec. 1 - Condo on market!
We've agreed that once my condo is under contract we will put Eric's up on the market. His condo is the one we live in and is also in much better condition. We won't have to do much maintenance, if any, to Eric's condo.
I'm really excited about the idea of having a house with Eric. It's yet another beginning to an exciting future! Next up! Family!
