Out with the old - in with the new/used

We finally got the old hot tub OUT which required many grueling hours on Eric's part. In the rain I might add. He slaved away disassembling the deck that surrounded the old hot tub and then it was ready to move. We had a group of guys come over to help Eric get the old beater out of the back yard and in to the dumpster so that we could make room of the new/used interim hot tub.

I wasn't there when they got took the old hot tub from the back yard to the dumpster out front but I heard it looked like a plane crashed in our back yard. Pieces of the hot tub were strewn everywhere. There is an old hot tub pump laying out there in the yard now. Mom said that now we look like we're growing pumps and stumps in our back yard!

Speaking of stumps. Eric found two HUGE chunks of tree that were under the deck. We have a lot of stumps in our back yard and the previous owners just scattered them around in stead of doing away with them. Anyway -- we've gotten rid of a few but these two were hidden. I swear they're like 4 feet in diameter! Anyway -- Eric tried to cut them up with his chain saw to make them small enough to move but it was taking forever. I think that might be something he's got to chip away at.

The new/used hot tub is a two seater. It's like two lounge chairs laying side by side. It's neat, it was free, and once it's up and running I'm sure it will be mighty nice. I'm happy we finally got this little gem because every time the weather is cold Eric talks about how badly he wishes he had a hot tub. Finally we've made all his dreams come true.

I will post pictures tomorrow of the old tub, the new/used tub, and the process of getting them switched out.
