Pollen

April/May is the time of year where I sing for Joy at the promise of warmer weather and the delight of seeing all the beautiful colors of spring flowers. I want to sit outside, work outside, eat outside, sleep outside and drive with the windows down. Eric, on the other hand, finds this time of year to be miserable. It is these beautiful things that I enjoy that cause him to hug his tissue box and scrounge for his Allegra. The Allegra helps but it's a fine line some days between him feeling crummy because of the allergies and weird because of the Allegra side effects. I do feel bad for him .... I do.... but I was glad when we drove seperate cars to the family reunion this weekend so that I could drive home with the windows rolled down and the sun shining on my skin while he was locked up inside his tinted car with the air con pumping. BORING.

Yesterday after work my car was covered in yellow sooty pollen. I went through the car wash after working hoping to get most of it off but sure enough the car was covered again when I got up this morning. It's just one of those things about living here that you have to endure. Pretty flowers and trees = a yellow car, house and patio furniture.

I wonder if our kid is going to have allergies.....
