Memorial Day

Wow! We've had an incredibly productive weekend!

Saturday morning was our not-so-eventful yard sale. We made $62 and sold almost nothing! So we still have a garage full of junk. We are not sure if we're going to give it another go, trying to set up differently and earlier, or just forgo the process and head strait to the goodwill.

After the yard sale we hung with Jen and Milton. We hit the pool at thier house which felt really nice after baking in the sun for the first part of the day. FYI - hot weather = hard on the pregnant body! The pool felt nice though! Then we had a barbaque with Milton and Jens and I even snuck in a nap on thier couch!

Sunday we worked on the house. I covered the inside (laundry, bathrooms, sheets, etc) while Eric worked on the outside (worked to get rid of the mulch pile and cut down more stumps). Last night we watched The Rocker - Loved it! - and went to bed early.

Today more house work! Eric went crazy and did SO MUCH. He finished the mulch pile, cleaned the eves, power washed the front porch, driveway and back patio. It doesn't sound like much on blogger but it took him from 11am to 7pm - nonstop! I stayed in again (a/c is my friend) and did floors, the kitchen, some laundry and grocery shopping. I also finished my book and took a nice 2 hour nap! =)

We are both winding down from the weekend now. Eric looks like he's about to drop dead. I forsee an early night for him. I, on the other hand, hope to start my new book and pork out on yummy dinner (crab cakes, homemade scalloped postatoes and peas!)
