Yard Sale!

Saturday we worked really hard to get the remaining items out of our storage unit. It'll save us $70 a month (diaper money) if we can get rid of that unit. We're having a yard sale next week to get rid of a bunch of the stuff we were storing in there. It was mostly MY junk that was remaining in the storage unit. Things we didn't use when we lived in Eric's condo. And within THAT junk was my old stash of "memories". I had boxes of letters from old boyfriends, year books, pictures, post cards, my cheerleading uniform, my riding outfit, bank statements from when I was 19 -- just STUFF.

It was amazing going through all of it again. I sat on the back porch and just scooped a handful of "stuff" out of a bin at a time. In one scoop I'd find a picture of me when I was 19, weighing 50lbs lighter than I do now. *Insert Sad face here* And in the very next scoop I'd find a bank statement from when I was 19 that said I was overdrawn by $250 in my checking account. *Insert face of shame here* No wonder I was 50lbs lighter! I couldn't afford to eat! No, just kidding, I was consuming plenty of calories via beer, I'm sure. But I think I'll take the weight and leave the financial debt behind!

So far we have a good selection of things for sale. Some junk and some stuff that's not junk but we just don't need anymore. Here is a taste of what we've got for sale:

Non-Junk List:

1 Portable A/C Unit

Junk List:

Old dishes
Barely used flannel sheet set (used for a prop in our Christmas Pic)
Bake wear
Jewelry Boxes
CD Stand
Asian Theme Shower Curtain
Pool Table
Stuffed Animals
Books
Coffee Pot
Assorted Knick Knacks
Mini Digital Camera
Blue Tooth Headset
Assortment of unused and lightly used School Supplies (including a graphic calculator)
Paperweight(s)
Wall Art

...oh and so much more! We are also going to have a lemonade stand! Come by if you can!

I'm so excited for this yard sale! I wish I'd kept some of the "good stuff" that I sent to the Salvation Army b/c I bet my old toaster oven would've earned me a couple bucks! I do have a fear though that I will be spending any 'earned' cash right back on items from other peoples sales!

Well, so far I know of 3 other friends coming (2 of which you already met at the candle party). I hope we get a good turn out! All the stuff I don't sell I'm taking to the thrift store after the sale! Feel free to carvan with me if you want!

I promise I won't buy your wedding gift there ...and tell you about it.... hahha just kidding!

Remind me of the hours? We are dress shopping that day but I may be able to swing by later in the afternoon if you still have stuff!

The hours are 9-1. Don't forget -- you can sell stuff at the yard sale too. I didn't send the e-vite so that you would come to shop! LOL

Unfortunately the dress shopping is from 10am until whenever we're done and it is in Woodbridge. I'd love to come buy/sell stuff but I don't think I'm going to make it there in time :(
