Grease Lightening
To make the chicken enchiladas the other night I had to "soften" the corn tortillas buy floating them in hot oil. After I was done, Eric poured the grease out in a bush off the back patio. This morning Lady woke up all greasy and her hair was like something out of the movie Grease. We noticed that the oil seemed to go from her head to her shoulders so we deduced that she must have snuck off the balcony yesterday during our cleaning frenzy, when we had the back door ajar, and gotten under that grease bush. Now I have to bring her over to my mother in law's to welcome Heather (my sister in law) & Michael (her boyfriend) looking like a hair tortilla! (Heather and Michael work on a cruise ship as entertainers -- and they just got back from an 8 month stint in Europe) I'm leaving work now to dip her in some Aveda Mint Shampoo and blow dry her!

Jess - in the future when you have left over oil from something like this - toss it in a used or new ziplock bag. Zip and toss. That is what I do. Works like a charm!!
