I think I'm allowed to write about it now because it is what it is. Eric got laid off. So I now have a House Spouse!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's great!
First off let me tell you that we're fine. It wasn't really a surprise and we are financially prepared for the change (for a while). Eric will bide his time doing handy-man work (have you SEEN the magesty that is my house?) while looking for a new desk job.
........in the mean time................I have a cleaning lady and cook all in one! AND HE RAKES LEAVES TOO! He's so wonderful. Last night the house was clean and he made Chipotle Meatloaf. What a great House Spouse! Can I keep him this way? No. We have a standard of living, damn it. But it'll be nice while I've got it.

I'm really sorry to hear about Eric's job but I'm glad to hear that you guys were prepared for it.
Last summer, Jeff didn't work very much (it is the slow season in Banquets) so he was home quite a bit during the week. I came home every day to a clean house and dinner made; it was heaven! I wish we could afford to do that all the time!
