The Hole

Preface: Portions of our attic have flooring. Portions do not. The portions that do not have flooring are just wooden slats and insulation.

Eric was in the attic getting the Christmas boxes down so we could pack away Christmas finally - when he came across a piece of tar paper. Without thinking he tossed it to the side directly in to the area of the garage WITHOUT flooring. This piece of tar paper went between the slats, through the insulation, through the ceiling of the living room and landed on the couch. Nice. So we now have a 4 foot hole in our living room ceiling.

The good news? Eric is jobless and has plenty of time to fix this little blip.

I have pictures but you'll have to wait to see them because I am at the beach and I left my camera at home. Right now, to keep the heat in, he has screwed up a nice big slab of thing plywood. Also -- nice.
