Nap time in the Big Girl Bed hasn't been quite as successful as bedtime. For one thing naptime isn't usually in her own bedroom but at one of her Grandmothers houses. Each of which have different, yet safe, toddler sleeping situations. Eric's Mom's house, where Carly spends almost every week day, just introduced Carly to a toddler bed with a gate in the doorway. The first day she slept on the floor. The second day she finally fell asleep in her big girl bed. We'll see how today goes.
At my Moms house there is a queen sized bed with rails on them. Since Carly can get out of the room, it doesn't quite work as well. She just gets up and leaves the room. We might need to try the gate in the doorway trick. I'm sure eventually she'll figure out how to crawl over the gate but if she can just get the nap time idea down maybe it won't matter.
