Sprained

Saturday we were invited to Lucia's birthday party at My Gym. Lucia is a close family friend (pictured above) and My Gym is a "soft" play gym. We weren't there even 15 minutes when Carly jumps from one soft mat to another soft mat injuring her ankle. She winced and cried when she stood on it. I freaked out and decided instantly to take her to the urgent care around the corner. This Urgent Care is great by the way! It's near the house and they are super fast. You wouldn't want to go there if you got shot in the head but it's perfect for an injured ankle. Anyway....after about 1.5 hours Carly had X-Rays, a dose of Motrin, and was diagnosed with a minor ankle sprain. I could tell after about 30-40 minutes she was going to be fine because there really wasn't any swelling or bruising on that foot ankle. She was still unwilling to walk/stand on it at that point though.
The doctor sent us home telling us to try to keep her off it and give her Motrin for the pain.

The following day she did do some crawling and for the most part kept off her feet. Today she is still limping a little but she's getting around just fine and doesn't seem to be in that much pain. She's not crying or holding back. She's just running funny. She's gimpy. =)
