We are 17 days away from Eric's sisters wedding. It'll be the first wedding I'll be attending as a pregnant woman. Luckily I have found a dress to wear! And Eric and I will be the 2nd best looking couple there!
As with many weddings there are lots of fun prewedding events to attend and be a part of! Even more so if you're the family of the Bride or Groom. I personally have taken part in the shower and the Co-ed Prewedding Event.
Here is where I'll talk about the shower. I'd like to post pictures of that Bridal Shower but the bride, Heather, refuses to send them to me. Instead I'll just tell you about the games I put together.
I was the Game Lady. I organized 2 games. I firmly believe that anymore than 2 shower games and attendees just want to start poking their eyes out. So there were 2 and only 2. The first game was a bridal questionnaire where I asked Heather to answer 15 questions about the groom and then we count to see how many she got right. The best part about this (for me) was going behind Heather's back to get her Grooms answers. Of course, in my humble opinion I had a damn good list of questions: some easy, some tough, some funny and some embarrassing. She didn't do too bad! 12 out of 15 is definitely a sign of two people meant to be!
The 2nd game was called Mr. or Mrs. Potato Head. I provided each shower attendee with their very own baking potato. I then set out assorted arts and crafts supplies. Each attendee was asked to make their own version of either a Mr. or Mrs. Potato head. The bride then judges the finished potatoes and picks a winner. We had some wonderful Mr. and Mrs. Potato heads! (Normally I'd insert a picture here but Heather is trying to kill me and hasn't sent me any pictures)
I lieu of doing a traditional Bachelor/Bachelorette party it has been decided that we will do a co-ed prewedding event instead! I love this idea! Something fun and silly to celebrate the bride and grooms last hours as single folk. Eric's Mom came up with the idea of a scavenger hunt and I volunteered to organize it! I'm super excited about my task! I will post the details of the hunt and the pictures at the end of the month. I just love this kind of stuff!
