I preface this e-mail by reiterating that I love my husband
.

.
but sometimes he drives me fucking crazy.
So, he's leaving for Atlantic City on a Bachelor Party Weekend and he's taking my car, which is fine, but definitely throws a bit of a twist in my going to work routine today. And it also means no work for him today so he's in my getting-ready-for work personal space. Today I have meeting prep for a big meeting so there was no fooling around time this morning -- I had to get out of the house. I had to get to work.
I'm rushing to get ready while his distracting ass is curled up in the bed and relaxed and stress free. I put the final touches on my face and then attempt to rush out of the bedroom. I'm almost to the front door when he says, "Babe! Will you shut off the light in the hallway bathroom!? You were the last one in there!" To which I respond, "Ugh, yes, I've got to go!" and then he says, "And will you get the bedroom bathroom light that you left on too?!" He's literally laying 3 feet from the bathroom light switch in our bedroom -- and I'm running late but yet he wants to me come back in to turn off the light? I complained, again, to which he responded, "You need to be responsible for these things when you leave a room!" A Classic CLASSIC Eric comment.
REALLY?
So out the front door I go, annoyed, shutting the door behind me when I hear a "Clank Clank Clank". I turn around and what do I see? Mr. Responsible has left his house keys hanging in the front door all night. Luckily I wasn't raped and/or murdered in the middle of the night and could return to the house to say, "Next time you're concerned about protecting your family -- try not to leave your keys in the front door!" and I left.
Thankfully I'm in Eric's RSX so I can step on the gas a little on the way to work. Half way there I hear a strange ringing. What is that? Oops! Turns out MR. RESPONSIBLE has misplaced his cell phone and now it's on the way to work with me! I wonder if he'll need that in Atlantic City this weekend to check in on his wife and unborn child? Probably.
As the good wife, Mrs. Irresponsible, I raced home between crucial meeting prep segments to return the phone to Mr. Responsible. He was on the couch unshowered and unstressed. Next time I leave a light on when I'm in a rush -- I'm thinkin he needs to get his ass up and help me out.

Oh boy!
Totally made me laugh out loud! Thank you for that! :) Todd was off today too -- I called him at 11:30am and he answered the phone in a very grumbly "i'm still asleep" tone. MEN!
