Drying Up?
So...my milk production is looooow! Not sure what's up with that. The only thing that has changed is my new Weight Watchers plan but on this plan I eat all 4 food groups -- I'm just eating low fat and watching my portion sizes. Weight Watchers even allows me MORE "points" than the normal girl because I'm nursing. So what gives? I've upped my water intake too -- thinking that this might be the issue but it's not helping. I fear that we'll be doing formula soon. We're already mixing a little formula in her breast milk because I haven't been able to keep up with her demand for a long time -- but I might have to put her on Formula during the day and nurse her only at night and in the mornings. I have mixed feelings about this but I feel good that I have lasted this long and that I've done the best I can. It's not easy to be a pumping Mom at work!

Talk to the health store folks...they will likely recommend Fennel or Fenugreek (spelling?)....I started to dry up too once I went back to work...I believe the stress of pumping at work was the cause..
Feel great knowing that you were able to give you daughter the best food of her life for a full 2 months !!
Formula is wonderfull! Once the hassle is off your sholders you will be so happy!
I could only nurse Gabby for 3 months...and she still got all the benefits...and when I quit it meant she wouldn't die of suffocation, so that was good too.
Oatmeal (in any form, even cookies) helps with supply. Fenugreek works wonders too. I use liquid caps (from the health food store) and notice a difference after just a couple of doses.
Could you be getting your period? That effects supply too.
Good luck and don't get frustrated.
