New Neighbors

Our old neighbors Bill and Sue -- a very sweet older couple -- have moved to New Jersey to be closer to their grand kids. Who could blame them? Well, it turns out they sold their house to a young couple with an 8 month old son! Carly will have a play buddy!! Mommy will make sure of that! Tonight I went over, casserole in hand, and knocked on the front door. I had Carly in her little push car and Brodie was with me too. Both of the adults came down to chat. Their son was being bathed by some in-town grandparents here to help. I think his name is Kaleb. Anyway -- I could tell instantly that this girl and I would get along great. We set up a tentative plan to take the kids for walks in the evenings before it gets too dark -- even if it's just around the block. I was in such a silly rush that I forgot to get their contact info though -- that is my next step.

.....I made my casserole in a dish that she would probably want to return ......it's all a part of the plan. It's so she has to come over and give it back and we can talk again. =)
