West Virginia

Yesterday we walked. Today we didn't. I have an early meeting I have to prepare for. There was no time for walking, showering, and meeting-ing.

The first weekend of November Eric and I are driving to West Virginia to attend a family reunion of sorts. Eric's Mom's family lived in West Virginia for a period of time it turns out. So in the family they have a farm and a cabin. I huge bunch (over 20) of us are going out there to stay, have a pig roast, shoot guns, ride those 4 wheel do-dads, and sit around the bomb fire. I can't wait!

These are the driving directions Eric's Mom gave me yesterday:

Once you get to Jane Lew, turn left at the bridge. Turn right at Farmer Magruider's barn. You'll know the barn there is a strong smell of "home brew" in the air. Go about 30 cow lengths and turn right at the old oak tree with the carved heart. Continue past the old red water pump and stop when you see the Guernsey cows.

Hilarious! I'm just starting the geometry section of my Math class and I think "cow lengths" is how I'm going to measure line segments from now on!
