Unemployment: Day 4..

Well as I write this I'm sitting on our balcony drinking iced tea! Jealous anyone??

Last night I had a late babysitting job that was far away. I didn't get home and into bed until close to 2am. Today I had a job interview scheduled so my sleep was not so great because I had job interview anxiety dreams. Nothing too terrible but not exactly the good night sleep one would want before a job interview. It's been a few weeks since my last interview so I had some extra nerves today just because I felt out of the loop. Once again I was rehearsing my answers to....

"What did you like most about your last job?"

"What did you like least about your last job?"

"Tell me a little bit about your last position."

On top of all that there is the pressure of driving to an office in downtown DC where parking is always a struggle. Plus I needed to read and rehearse all about the company I was interviewing with and find a way to relate to them how much I want the job and how wildly interested I am in working for them. It's stressful!

Now I'm home and I think it went well. They explained to me that this will be a 4-part interview process. They'd like to have the position filled by the end of July and I'll be meeting with several different people between now and then. I think I did well and I also think I'll be called in for round 2. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Tonight I have another babysitting job that will probably go until midnight. It's also another long drive so I'll leave the house early. I love the kids that I baby-sit for and the money is good so it's not a bother, really. The hardest part is that sometimes I have to drive to the jobs through DC rush hour which can sometimes put my babysitting commute at a near 1 and a half hours! Let's hope today that's not the case.

As for the rest of the day I plan on taking it easy and washing the sheets on our bed. Lady wet the bed this morning in her sleep. Poor thing. She had no idea she'd done it which left me concerned that I was the culprit. Alas, she was the one that woke up with the wet butt -- not me. I can only hope that she was having a really good dream and didn't realize she'd wet the bed and that we're not starting on a new journey of having a dog with an incontinence problem.
