The Verdict

Sorry -- I thought I'd answered this last week but I guess not!

The verdict is I have muscle strain in my left shoulder and the GP sent me to a chiropractor. My first time ever at a chiropractor and it was very......interesting. First they stimulated my muscles with some sort of electrodes and a hot compress. (I've had this done before and it really works wonders.) Then they put me on a table that helped to stretch and elongate my spine. It was a massage table of sorts. The final treatment was an "adjustment" where the doctor popped bones in my neck, back and hips. Crazy! It sounded like fire works going off. It was not painful and all-in-all I felt much better after the appointment. All that laying down and bone cracking left me feeling kinda relaxed and sleepy, actually. Unfortunately a few hours of typing at my desk and the pain was back. The doctor did say that they're going to "fix me up" but I probably won't start feeling better until I've completed a few visits. My prescription was for 2 Chiropractic visits a week for 3 weeks. My next one is Wednesday at noon!
