Walk #2 FAILED

Walk #2 FAILED. It wasn't us though. We were all up. Lady first, I think. It's pouring outside. Like the cold, fall, no-fun kind. Not the sprinkling kind. It had been raining all night too so EVERYTHING was saturated. I'm not so hard core that I could bundle up in a coat, carry and umbrella, and walk 45 minutes in my hot pink wellies. Would you?

Last night Eric had band practice and I stayed home and enjoyyyyyyed life. I actually got off work early, in hopes of taking a brief nap, but Lady and I watched Memoirs of Geisha instead. (It was very good -- I even think I liked it more then the book....) All the while we were also doing laundry. I was folding clothes - lady was sleeping on them. Then we made dinner: Left over turkey tenderloin, baked, and thrown in a boxed Cajun rice mix with a fresh salad. It was delish. I was pooped and passed out on the couch by 9:15 p.m. Being in bed so early made for a not-so-bad getting up at 6am for a walk -- but alas -- I was singing "rain rain go away come again another day" instead.

Tonight I have happy hour for a co-worker/friend who is leaving the company. She's 21 and got offered a job with the same pay, no commute, and 20% off her rent. That's like winning the lottery when you're 21. I don't blame her for leaving the job but I definitely blame her for leaving me. I haven't decided whether I'll be throwing up a toast to see her off, or throwing my drink at her as she leaves......

Tomorrow Art On the Avenue!!! Can't wait!!! Maybe Eric will get up with me and go to the farmers market first??

C'mon, Lard-butt! I walk in the rain all the time--it's very soothing. You won't melt, you know. You're just makin' excuses and I predict that by the year 2016 you will weigh over 100 kilos (220 lbs)!
